MIXUE Partners with Win Metawin to Enhance Appeal Among Thai Youth

BANGKOK — 15 May 2026, the Chinese bubble tea and ice cream brand MIXUE is broadening its reach in Thailand by leveraging celebrity marketing alongside community-oriented initiatives, highlighted by a recent event featuring Thai actor Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn.

As the beverage and lifestyle market in Thailand becomes increasingly competitive, international brands are looking for ways to foster stronger connections with local communities, beyond merely expanding their outlets and enhancing online presence. Analysts note that younger Thai consumers are now more discerning, favoring brands that engage genuinely with local culture instead of relying solely on aggressive marketing strategies.

Since its entry into Thailand in 2022, MIXUE has progressively established itself in major cities such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. Alongside its business growth, the company has been involved in various social initiatives over the past year.

In response to the severe flooding that impacted southern Thailand last year, MIXUE Thailand contributed 1 million baht to support the relief efforts in the affected communities. Earlier this year, representatives from the company visited the Nakhon Nayok Special Education Centre, which operates under Thailand’s Ministry of Education, to distribute drinks and gifts to students and faculty.

On 9 May, MIXUE hosted a “One-Day Store Manager” event at its Siam Square branch in Bangkok with actor Win Metawin. The event attracted large crowds, showcasing the actor’s popularity and the increasing significance of celebrity involvement in engaging the youth market in Thailand.

The event was designed not just as a product promotion, but also emphasized customer interaction and social media engagement. Throughout the day, Win participated in drink preparation, interacted with customers, and joined staff in daily store activities.

This approach is becoming more prevalent as brands vie for attention among younger consumers, who prioritize experiences and shareable content online.

For international brands aiming for sustained growth, the youth market in Thailand is critical, especially as younger consumers increasingly expect companies to demonstrate an understanding of local culture and social issues, in addition to focusing on commercial growth.

MIXUE’s collaboration with Win Metawin is part of a broader strategy to integrate itself more deeply into Thai youth culture, which includes university-focused promotions, online campaigns, and entertainment partnerships.

While many foreign brands previously highlighted their international status upon entering Thailand, there is now a noticeable shift in consumer expectations toward businesses that exhibit greater local engagement and cultural sensitivity.

The company has expressed its intention to continue investing in local marketing partnerships, youth-centered campaigns, and social initiatives as it looks to expand further in Thailand.

In a market that is becoming increasingly competitive, long-term success may hinge not just on pricing and expansion strategies, but also on the ability of brands to maintain meaningful connections with local communities and consumers over time.
