A confrontation involving a foreign man and a Thai man has recently gained attention online after a video surfaced showing the foreigner allegedly slapping the Thai man, which escalated into a street fight.
The footage, shared by a user identified as “Mai Tong Pood,” depicts a brief altercation, accompanied by a caption suggesting that the foreign man had been provoking the Thai man prior to the incident.
On May 12, around 11:06 PM, Kritsada, a 27-year-old rider who recorded the video, spoke to reporters about what transpired. He explained that the Thai man had parked his vehicle properly before the foreign man allegedly approached him and began creating disturbances.
While Kritsada could not determine the specifics of their conversation, he suspected that there had been some form of provocation or challenge. He noted that the Thai man initially attempted to de-escalate the situation and did not respond with aggression. Ultimately, it appeared that the altercation would conclude as both individuals walked away.
However, the foreign man reportedly returned to continue provoking the Thai man, culminating in him slapping the Thai man on the head, which led to a brawl that was captured in the footage.
According to Siam Chon News, the release of the video prompted numerous social media users to condemn the foreign man’s actions, while some commended the Thai man for his initial efforts to avoid conflict.
As of the time of this report, there has been no information released regarding the location of the incident or any legal actions taken against either individual involved.
In another incident, a Thai man was reportedly attacked by a group of Indian tourists in Phuket after he intervened in a dispute concerning one of the tourists sitting on the hood of a parked car.
