Central Pattana (CPN), a publicly listed Thai real estate firm known for operating Central malls, has announced a partnership with Central Retail and various public and private entities to introduce the ‘Grand Grand Sale 2026’ campaign. This initiative aims to enhance Thailand’s stature as a leading shopping destination on a global scale. The campaign, which features an investment exceeding 1 billion baht, will offer consumers discounts of up to 80% and is designed to invigorate midyear spending across the nation.
Set to take place from May 29 to July 19, the event will encompass over 3,000 brands available at Central shopping centers, department stores, Central Retail outlets, and Esplanade Ratchada. According to CPN, this initiative seeks to boost sales at its various malls and department stores throughout Thailand, showcasing the country’s potential as a prime shopping locale.
Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, CPN’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that for 17 years, the company has been promoting Thailand’s mid-year shopping season, transforming it from a simple sales campaign into an annual ‘national shopping extravaganza’ that continues to grow. This year, over 13,000 stores and about 30,000 brands are anticipated to participate, marking a 50% increase from 2023.
The extensive network of shopping centers, department stores, and retail locations operated by CPN and Central Group spans all regions, including major cities and tourist hotspots such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Samui, and Hat Yai, creating a lively shopping and tourism environment nationwide. The campaign aligns with the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s ‘Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2026’ initiative, which offers discounts and special privileges to both short-haul and long-haul international travelers in various locations, including Phuket.
Mr. Nattakit stated that the event is poised to stimulate consumer spending while providing a premium shopping experience that highlights the allure of Thailand. Rvisra Chirathivat, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Department Store, added that this year’s campaign will tap into the growing interest in health and wellness, coinciding with a global spotlight on sports events.
