A fire destroyed a three-storey building in Karon district on Monday morning, which housed KIRI Restaurant and Pinewood Massage Onsen Spa. The blaze, reportedly sparked by an exploding light bulb, caused significant damage but no injuries were reported. Firefighters managed to control the fire within 20 minutes.
